Hand Dyed & Knitted Ocean Shawl

Rayon, 61” x 17”, 179 grams. Painted silk and glass beads.

Edges of shawl are hand knit and hand dyed.  Shawl dyed to give an image of the ocean.  Sea animals are individually hand painted on silk.  Beads are fused glass.  This shawl was inspired by my love of the ocean and a magical snorkeling experience with sea lions and turtles on the Galapagos Islands.
